Chubb Alarm Monitoring

Maxi Security Alarm System installed in your home or business communicates with the Chubb’s 24-hour monitoring center through ordinary telephone lines or, alternatively, through a cellular or radio connection. At the present time, the direct phone line connection is the most reliable method of communication in New Zealand.

Most existing as well as new alarm systems can be connected to the Chubb Monitoring Centre. Some older systems wouldn’t have a dialler to dial through a telephone network, in which case, an upgrade of the system is necessary before it can dial through to the monitoring centre.

Components of the system include door and window sensors, motion detectors, glass breakage detectors as well as smoke & heat detectors. These components may be hard-wired to your alarm panel or wireless depending on your unique needs.

In addition to entry detection which occurs when you arm your system, you may also have “panic buttons” which may be activated irrespective of whether or not the system has been armed. An alarm incident results in an immediate seizure of the telephone line to transmit the signal to the monitoring station. There are normally 3 types of panic buttons on all alarms systems, covering, Intrusion Panic, Medical Panic and Fire Panic.

When the Chubb Monitoring Centre receives an alarm signal from your system, they contact the premises, the appropriate responding authorities and your personal contacts in the order dictated by the type of signal which has been received. – (Intrusion, Panic, Medical Panic and Fire Panic). Normally alarm signals are received and a dispatch attempt is made within 30 seconds. You have the ability to cancel inadvertent alarms via your alarm keypad which will stop dispatch efforts.

Your system is monitored when the alarm is being armed or even un-armed. In addition to alarm signals, your system can be programmed to communicate automatic periodic tests, low battery state, system functionality, communication connections and entry and exit information. An entry and exit log is also being recorded, indicating opening and closing times of the premises.

When a patrol vehicle is dispatched to your premises, Chubb will use the agreed Authorised Patrol Company to investigate the situation.

Chubb Monitoring Plan

A Chubb Monitoring Plan is over 3 years at a Fee of only $8.65 / week. (Incl GST)

Term: 3 Years
Fee: $8.70 per week (Incl. GST)

Charges for a Patrol Response Vehicle:

Charges differ from company to company but First Security is our preferred Patrol Response supplier and their charges are as follows;

First Security Call-out Charges for Chubb Monitored Security Alarm

$00-00 – annual admin fee
$55-00* - callout rate per 30 minutes and or part thereof.
*Rates are exclusive of GST.

www.firstsecurity.co.nz

These charges are only applicable when a patrol vehicle has to be dispatched to your premises and not when normal monitoring procedures are followed. All attempts will be made at first to be in contact with you and your emergency contacts before a patrol response vehicle will be dispatched.

Infrared motion sensors provide one of the most reliable and cost effective methods for protecting open spaces in the home or office. These devices which, like other detection devices, can be either hard-wired or wireless, project an undetectable beam of infrared light which senses motion within the 30 ft coverage area.
The motion sensors can be adjusted to mitigate the motion of pets and décor items. Motion detectors are very reliable and are often used in conjunction with glass breakage sensors in locations with numerous entry points.
